Ocean Mist Cream Crab Pasta

A bit of a twist today, with the mincing of everything small. This light rolled thin pasta is stuffed with a delight of mouth-melting bites. All ingredients for this recipe can be purchased under a tenner.

Prep and cooking time: 25 mins
Serves: 2

crab (can crab was used for this recipe)
1/4 pepper
1 carrot
1/4 mushrooms (mixture)
6 strips green onion
1 lime
1 tsp corn starch
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp parsley, dried
1 tsp fish sauce
1/4 turmeric
salt to taste

Begin by dicing the carrots, pepper, green onion, and mushrooms, then set aside.

In a medium bowl, begin to pour in the crab followed by the carrots, pepper, green onions, mushrooms, 1/2 lime juice, lime ridge and all seasoning. Mix well to combine, once combined cover a store in the fridge for 5 minutes.

Begin to roll out thinly,  the pasta sheets. Cut into circular shapes,  dust lightly with flour to prevent sticking, then set aside for filling. (we used a shot glass to obtain the shape for stuffing)

Filling a teaspoon with crab stuffing, begin to place onto the pasta sheets, followed by covering the stuffing with another sheet.

Using the back of a spoon, begin to press lightly around the edges of the pasta sheets sealing and shaping into the desired shape. Repeat this step until all have been completed.

Heating a saucepan, pour in the cream, turmeric, 1/2 lime juice and salt. Allow coming to a slow boil before adding the pasta.

Once the boiling process begins, add to the pan the stuffed pasta. Cooking until the cream begins to thicken and pasta has been cooked, remove from the heat and serve.

This dish can be served with bread, salad or eaten as is.
