Every Saturday we like to unwind from the week with a green juice or smoothie. Just to cleanse our mind, body and spirit after a twenty-minute session of yoga, we relax to a glass of green goodness. This smoothie comes with not only health benefits but its what's in it and with a slightly bitter kick of a sweet tinge. In its combination, we have also added a super-food, wheatgrass,  which is packed with lots of healing benefits. Consuming this on a daily will surely aid in eliminating toxins from the body as it helps with digestion, boosts your metabolism and gives you a boost for the week ahead.


Here is what we have magnificently blended to create this glass of green Goddess.


1 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup pineapple chunks
2 cups fresh spinach
1 Tbs Maca powder
1 Tbs Chia seeds
1/2 lime juice
4 cubes of fresh aloe jelly
the ridge of one lime


As you gather your ingredients, remember before placing them in the blender,  remove the jelly from the outer layer of the aloe. This separates the extreme bitterness from the jelly or you can run it under cold water.

Blend until all the ingredients have been completely blended, pouring into a glass, garnish with the ridge of lime and enjoy.
